Stunning escape in the Hunter Valley!
What a gem! The room was super spacious, and the giant TV was perfect for chill vibes. The outdoor area was really nice, especially the pool. Oh, and having picnic tables set up was great for a cozy meal outside. Only thing was the breakfast selection could use a bit more variety.

A lovely escape in the valley 🍇🌿
Got a warm welcome with a bottle of semillon and cheese platter right in our room, which was such a lekker surprise! The brekkie was out of this world—those homemade muffins and fresh frittata were just divine. Loved spotting kangaroos chilling on the property!
Only bummer was the bathroom door was a bit tricky to open sometimes—eina!

Unexpected wildlife at sunrise
Woke up to the sight of kangaroos hopping gracefully across the property at dawn. The generous hospitality from the hosts and delicious breakfast options made our stay truly delightful.
The lack of kitchen facilities limited our options for meals, and it wasn't convenient to access local eateries on foot. We found the nearest cafe required a long drive.

Seriously, who doesn’t have a full-fledged kitchen these days? The absence of proper cooking facilities left me searching for food options. Plus, don't get me started on the limited entertainment options—could use more activities !!!

Thistle Hill felt like a home away from home. The little touches made a big difference. Donna and Stu went above and beyond, welcoming us with a cheese platter and a bottle of wine. The breakfast pie from Stu was memorable. The rooms featured a beautiful entrance off a large verandah, and we appreciated the cozy furnishings. Sitting outside for breakfast on those sunny mornings added to the charm. getting to nearby attractions was not as easy as expected. While there are wineries in walking distance, finding good dining options nearby required a drive. the absence of a full kitchen made it tricky for snacks or late-night cravings. it’s a lovely spot but could use better access to dining options and kitchen facilities.
